This article explains how we are calculating your results in the OKKO Health app and why.
In the results screen, you'll be able to view your averaged weekly results for each test within the OKKO Health app.
Above is a patient’s results for the Acuity game mode. The graphs are showing their weekly average results for both eyes, in the last 4 weeks. Since the graphs are trending upwards, we can assume that the patient has had a slight improvement in both eyes in the last 4 weeks.
The reason we are showing you your averaged weekly results, rather than results for each individual session, is because results naturally vary when measuring your vision in a non-controlled environment. Other factors cause variation as well, such as fatigue, mood etc. So to ensure we are presenting you with results that are as accurate as possible, we have decided to go for a scoring system that is calculated in weekly averages*. This also means that it is recommended to complete at least 3 measurements per week to ensure the most accurate results.
*This is the reason you cannot view your results in the app in real-time. Instead, it can take up to 7 days to view your most recent results. (The result screen is updated every Monday)
